SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Gov. Gary Herbert has officially declared Jan. 20-26 School Choice Week in Utah. In doing so, the Governor is helping lead a nationwide effort, along with other governors and local leaders, to recognize the importance of school choice policies for students across the nation.
Parents, schools, and other organizers have planned more than 250 events and activities across the state of Utah, including rallies, roundtable discussions, meet-ups, school fairs, and more. These events are designed to foster conversations about the educational opportunities available to families.
More than 40,000 events have been independently planned for the week nationwide, raising awareness about opportunity in education.
