Governor-Elect Bob McDonnell Announces Jim Duffey, NVTC Board Member and Former Vice Chair, to Serve as Virginia's Secretary of Technology
Long Standing Member of the Region's Technology Community Elevated to Serve the Commonwealth
HERNDON, Va., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the largest technology council in the nation, congratulates Board Member and former Vice Chair Jim Duffey on his nomination by Virginia Governor-elect Bob McDonnell to serve as the state's Secretary of Technology.

Currently, Duffey is President and CEO of Duff Consulting and is a member of NVTC's Board of Directors having served since 2004. During this time, he was Vice Chair from July 2006 to January 2009. Prior to starting his own consulting firm, he spent 24 years at EDS where he held different positions in the U.S. and Europe. Most notably, for three years he was Vice President and General Manager, Public Sector, where he was responsible for all of EDS' state and local, federal, civilian, military and Medicare client relationships. Duffey is also a former Vice President and General Manager, Public Sector at Dell, Inc.
