Governor Corbett Signs House and Senate Bills into Law
HARRISBURG, Pa., July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today signed into law the following bills:
House Bill 22 (P.N. 115) – Amends Title 13 (Commercial Code) in transfers of funds, further providing for exclusion of consumer transactions governed by federal law.
House Bill 82 (P.N. 2154) – Act providing for actions for costs and care of seized animals.
House Bill 163 (P.N. 2175) – Amends the County Code, in prothonotary, clerk of courts, clerk of orphans' court, register of wills, recorder of deeds, further providing for how offices are to be held.
House Bill 465 (P.N. 2211) – Amends Tax Reform Code, for special taxing authority; for classes; for Children's Trust Fund and American Red Cross; for corporate net income tax, corporate stock and franchise tax; realty transfer tax; Innovate in Pennsylvania Program; inheritance tax.
House Bill 602 (P.N. 2020) – Amends the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act further providing for definitions and for prohibited acts and penalties; and providing for ephedrine and pseudoephedrine and electronic tracking.
House Bill 784 (P.N. 2158) - Act providing for permit extensions and making a repeal.
House Bill 1075 (P.N. 2203) - Amends Public Welfare Code providing for medical assistance payments, coverage, co-pay, premiums; for payments to counties for services to children; quality care assessment, Trauma Systems Stabilization; Human Services Block Grant Program.
House Bill 1112 (P.N. 2157) – Act authorizing the Department of General Services, with the approval of the Department of Military & Veterans Affairs and the governor, to grant and convey, at a price to be determined, certain lands, buildings and improvements used as state armories.
House Bill 119 (P.N. 1356) – Act authorizing the Department of General Services, with approval of the Department of Military & Veterans Affairs and the governor, to grant and convey to Uptown Entertainment Alliance, certain lands in the borough of West Chester, Chester County.
House Bill 1121 (P.N. 1370) - Act designating the bridge that carries Seventh Street on State Route 611 over Interstate 80 in Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County, as the Sheriffs Forrest B. Sebring and Todd A. Martin Bridge.
House Bill 1141 (P.N. 2200) - Amends Public School Code providing for Special Education Funding Commission; reopening of district budget; school building projects; educator discipline fee; for state funding; basic education funding; payments to Intermediate Units; Accountability Grants.
House Bill 1190 (P.N. 2090) – Amends Health Care Facilities Act, in licensing of health care facilities, further providing for definitions, for licensure, for term and content of license and for reliance on accrediting agencies and federal government; and national accreditation.
House Bill 1275 (P.N. 2155) – Act making appropriations from the Professional Licensure Augmentation Account and from restricted revenue accounts within the General Fund to the Department of State for use by the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs in support of the professional licensure boards.
House Bill 1276 (P.N. 1639) – Act making an appropriation from a restricted revenue account within the General Fund to the Office of Small Business Advocate in the Department of Community and Economic Development.
House Bill 1277 (P.N. 1999) – Act making an appropriation from the State Employees' Retirement Fund to provide for expenses of the State Employees' Retirement Board for the fiscal year July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014.
House Bill 1278 (P.N. 2000) – Act making an appropriation from the Public School Employees' Retirement Fund to provide for expenses of the Public School Employees' Retirement Board for the fiscal year July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014.
House Bill 1279 (P.N. 2001) – Act making appropriations from Workmen's Compensation Administrative Fund to the Department of Labor & Industry and the Department of Community & Economic Development to provide for expenses of Worker's Compensation Act, Pennsylvania Occupational Disease Act and the Office of Small Business Advocate for fiscal year July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, and for payment of bills remaining unpaid at close of fiscal year ending June 30, 2013.
House Bill 1280 (P.N. 1643) – Act making an appropriation from a restricted revenue account with the General Fund to the Office of Consumer Advocate in the Office of Attorney General.
House Bill 1281 (P.N. 1644) – Act making appropriations from a restricted revenue account within the General Fund and from federal augmentation funds to the Public Utility Commission for the fiscal year July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014, and for the fiscal year July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013.
House Bill 1282 (P.N. 1645) – Act making appropriations from restricted revenue accounts within the State Gaming Fund, and from the State Gaming Fund to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Department of Revenue, Pennsylvania State Police and Attorney General for fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014, and payment of bills incurred and remaining.
House Bill 1359 (P.N. 1754) – Amends the act entitled "an act providing a fixed charge on lands acquired by the state and federal government for forest reserves,'' further providing for an annual charge for tax-exempt lands.
House Bill 1478 (P.N. 2118) – Act authorizing the Department of General Services to grant certain lands in Carlisle; to grant to Bear Valley utility and access easements for groundwater withdrawal; to accept real property from Lackawanna County Transit System Authority; to grant lands in Allentown.
House Bill 1482 (P.N. 2153) – Act authorizing the Department of General Services, with approval of the governor and the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, to grant and certain lands to Gettysburg Foundation; Scranton School District; Redevelopment Authority of Bethlehem; La Salle University; and certain lands with approval of PennDOT.
House Bill 1490 (P.N. 2138) – Amends Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) further providing for definitions for the driver certification program, budget and fees; for transfer; for special funds, for authority, restrictions and making an appropriation.
Senate Bill 155 (P.N. 1211) – Amends the Rabies Prevention and Control in Domestic Animals and Wildlife Act further providing for findings, definitions, statewide system for rabies control, vaccination required, antirabies clinics and powers of department relating to wildlife.
Senate Bill 259 (P.N. 1290) – Amends Act entitled "an act regulating terms and conditions of certain leases regarding natural gas and oil,'' adding definitions; providing for payment information to interest owners, for accumulation of proceeds, for apportionment and conflicts.
Senate Bill 304 (P.N. 1210) – Amends Titles 15 (Corporations) and 54 (Names) making revisions to preliminary material; corporate powers, officers, shareholders, foreign corporations; further providing for corporate names and making related repeals.
Senate Bill 351 (P.N. 1222) – Amends Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) in municipal authorities, further providing for purposes and powers.
Senate Bill 1002 (P.N. 1178) – Act providing for the capital budget for the fiscal year 2013-2014.
