Governor Corbett Signs House and Senate Bills
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today signed into law the following bills:
House Bill 84 (P.N. 62) - Amends Agricultural Area Security Law requiring county board to inspect agricultural conservation easements every two years to assure compliance with the deed of easement and repealing existing conflicting regulations.
House Bill 293 (P.N. 1730) - Act designating bridges as Specialist Kenneth Wayne Lampman, Sr. Memorial Bridge; Specialist Gerald Duane Stonemetz Memorial Bridge; Specialist Clark Robert Douglas Memorial Bridge; & Private First Class Berwyn Gaylord Cole Memorial Bridge.
House Bill 987 (P.N. 1151) - Act designating the bridge that carries State Route 973 over Loyalsock Creek in Upper Fairfield Township and Eldred Township, Lycoming County, as the George E. Logue, Sr. Memorial Bridge.
Senate Bill 194 (P.N. 135) - Amends the Mcare Act, eliminating the requirement for medical malpractice insurers and self-insurers to file annual reports with the Pennsylvania Insurance Department listing every medical malpractice claim and resolution.
Senate Bill 371 (P.N. 427) - Repeals the Savings Association Code, further requiring the four remaining savings and loan associations to convert to a savings bank, a federal savings association or merge into another regulated banking institution.
Senate Bill 419 (P.N. 1158) - Amends the act entitled "An act to validate conveyances & other instruments which have been defectively acknowledged," extending the date for validation of certain conveyances and other instruments.
Senate Bill 644 (P.N. 1173) - Amends Title 3 (Agriculture) & 34 (Game) adding a subchapter to clarify that wild boars and other variations or species of swine kept behind fences on game farms or hunting preserves are not defined as "wild animals."
Senate Bill 865 (P.N. 976) - Amends Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act further providing for penalties involving liquefied ammonia gas, precursors and chemicals.
