Governor Corbett Signs House and Senate Bills
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today signed into law the following bills:
House Bill 124 (P.N. 742) – Amends Industrialized Housing Act, requiring the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to adopt regulations consistent with the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act in order to create uniform standards for the construction, installation and inspection of industrialized/commercial modular buildings and modules in Pennsylvania.
House Bill 583 (P.N. 645) – Amends Title 35 (Health and Safety) to make solvent the 911 wireless fund, bring counties into compliance on personnel funding and give the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) additional authority to foster regionalization of 911 centers.
Senate Bill 5 (P.N. 967) – Establishes the Community-Based Health Care Subsidy Program in the Department of Health for the primary purpose of issuing grants to community-based healthcare clinics in order to expand access to healthcare services, reduce unnecessary utilization of hospital emergency services and encourage collaborative relationships between clinics, hospitals and other healthcare providers.
