Governor Corbett Orders Flags at Capitol Complex and in Philadelphia County to Fly at Half-Staff Aug. 18 to Honor Fallen Navy SEAL
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities in Philadelphia County to fly at half-staff Aug. 18 to honor U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Strange, whose funeral will be held that day.
Strange, 25, was among 30 SEALS, sailors, soldiers and airmen who died Aug. 6 when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan's Wardak province. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Daniel L. Zerbe, 28, of York County, also died in that attack.
