Governor Corbett Orders Flags at Capitol Complex and in Bucks County to Fly at Half-Staff on Aug. 10 in Honor of Sgt. First Class Kenneth Elwell
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities in Bucks County to fly at half-staff on Wednesday, Aug. 10 in honor of U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Kenneth Elwell, of Northampton Township.
Elwell, 33, was one of two soldiers killed July 17 by a roadside bomb while on routine foot patrol in Afghanistan's Kandahar province.
Elwell will be buried on Aug. 10 at Arlington National Cemetery.
