Governor Corbett Appoints New Chairman, Members to eHealth Partnership Authority
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett announced several appointments today to the e-Health Partnership Authority.
Created by law on July 5, 2012, the PA eHealth Partnership Authority replaces the PA eHealth Collaborative, and is a positive step toward improving healthcare delivery and healthcare outcomes in Pennsylvania by providing leadership, strategic direction and investments in health information technology and health information exchange initiatives. The collaborative is also charged with coordination of ehealth projects statewide.
Corbett appointed Gaspere C. Geraci, M.D., of Harrisburg to serve as chairman. As vice president of physician leadership in quality and value at the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Geraci collaborates with multiple organizations to promote physician leadership and quality.
"With more than 30 years of extensive, broad-based clinical and administrative experience in the medical field, I am confident that Dr. Geraci will serve the Authority and Pennsylvania with distinction and wisdom," Corbett said.
Corbett also appointed the following board members to the Authority:
Sharon Ackerman, Somerset
Thomas Beeman, Lancaster
Leslie Grey, Erie
Ellen Krajewski, Liberty
Robert Torres, Middletown
