Government of Canada announces appointment of Ms. Andrea Nalyzyty to Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety
OTTAWA, Feb. 24, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, announced the appointment of Ms. Andrea Nalyzyty as Governor representing employers on the Council of Governors of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
Ms. Nalyzyty brings over 14 years of executive-level experience in legal and human resources management, which will be invaluable in her new role. As Vice-President, Employee Relations, Policy, Governance and HR Operations, at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), she provides leadership in the areas of labour relations, employment equity, change management, human resources policy and industry matters. Ms. Nalyzyty also served as Vice-President and Associate General Counsel for CIBC's legal department, where she oversaw all legal matters related to CIBC's retail banking operations.
Ms. Nalyzyty holds both a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 1990.
