WASHINGTON, Feb. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Government employees from the federal, state and local levels will join with union leaders and lawmakers at a noontime rally Tuesday to call on Congress to raise wages for working class Americans.

The rally is being organized by the American Federation of Government Employees, the largest union representing federal and D.C. government workers.

Government employees will join with members of Congress and labor activists in a rally Tuesday Feb. 4 on Capitol Hill to demand fair wages for federal employees and all working people. The rally is being coordinated by the American Federation of Government Employees, which is the nation's largest union representing 670,000 federal and D.C. government employees.

AFGE members will march from the Hyatt Regency to Upper Senate Park for the noon rally, where they will be joined by government employees from other labor organizations and a contingent of lawmakers.
