Government Cloud Services Provider Selects Compusearch to Supply Acquisition and Grants Management Capabilities to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission
Solution will streamline business processes and replace a legacy contract writing system
DULLES, Va., July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Compusearch® is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Enterprise Services Center (ESC), to provide PRISM software licenses and associated implementation services in support of FAA-ESC's deployment of an integrated procurement solution to their new client, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
FAA-ESC is a Shared Services Provider and as such does not receive directly appropriated government funds. Instead FAA-ESC's funding comes from their customers, within the U.S. Department of Transportation and elsewhere in Federal Government, in exchange for the government-to-government services they provide. FAA-ESC's service lines of business include Procurement Management and Financial Management. The Interagency Agreement (IAA) NRC awarded FAA-ESC is for the deployment of an NRC Acquisition System, to include hosting, and also integration with NRC's FAIMIS Core Financial System, an implementation of CGI's Momentum® Enterprise Resource Planning suite. The period of performance is for a base term of 8 years and the total value of the IAA is $32,111,402.
"One important evaluation criterion for FAA-ESC and NRC was the ability to interface PRISM with Momentum® which has already been proved at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)," said Compusearch CTO Brock Lending. "PRISM was definitely the right choice given the high degree of integration needed with NRC's FAIMIS financial management system necessary to ensure consistency between procurement and grants documents and their associated financial actions."
"We are pleased that after an analysis of alternatives, FAA-ESC chose Compusearch to support the administration of NRC's financial assistance programs and all types of FAR-based acquisition," said Compusearch CEO Reid Jackson. "PRISM continues to be the most successfully implemented and widely utilized acquisition and grants management system across government."
When operational in 2013, the NRC Acquisition System will support the Commission's contracting and grants administration functions across the lifecycle, from pre-award planning in the program offices, through award, post-award management and administration, and finally close-out.
