Gouverneur Elks to Start Make my Day Sunny Dances

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Gouverneur Elks will host quarterly dances for people in the community with disabilities. This will provide needed social opportunities for the attendees.

Make my Day Sunny Dances will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Gouverneur Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Gouverneur Elks Lodge No. 2035 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
