Gorilla Logic Named a Finalist in Third Annual ATI Automation Honors for Its FlexMonkey Automated Testing Tool
Honor marks the fifth industry recognition the company has received over the last three months
BROOMFIELD, Colo., Aug. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Gorilla Logic, (www.gorillalogic.com), a leader in enterprise application development services and creators of open source test tools for mobile and rich Internet applications, today announced it was named a finalist in the third annual Automated Testing Institute's (ATI) Automation Honors, the industry's original set of awards dedicated to software test automation. In an effort to recognize excellence in the discipline of test automation, the awards rely on industry practitioners to identify which tools, resources and people are the best, which have the most significant upgrades and/or which are setting the trends that will help take software test automation to the next level in the coming year. Gorilla Logic was recognized as a finalist for its popular Open Source automated testing tool, FlexMonkey (http://www.gorillalogic.com/flexmonkey). The recognition is the fifth in a series of awards and honors the company has received for its technology and success in just the last three months.
"We are honored to have been nominated and named a finalist again this year," said Stu Stern, CEO and co-founder of Gorilla Logic. "The latest additions to FlexMonkey were driven by the community of users who rely on it for their automated testing every single day. Through them, we continue to make FlexMonkey even better, which is why it is the most widely used open source tool for testing Adobe Flex and AIR applications based on more than 11,000 downloads."
FlexMonkey allows developers and testers of RIA to record, playback and verify real-world user interactions. If desired, FlexMonkey also can generate ActionScript test scripts that teams can easily use within a continuous integration environment. Gorilla Logic created FlexMonkey in 2008, and continues to contribute to the Flex ecosystem with ongoing enhancements and dedicated support to the community.
FlexMonkey users who want to show their support can do so by visiting (http://www.atihonors.automatedtestinginstitute.com) and voting for Gorilla Logic. Voting closes at the beginning of September and winners will be announced at this year's live awards ceremony held at the Verify/ATI 2011 Conference in Arlington, VA on September 27. In addition, winners and finalist will be highlighted in a special November issue of the Automated Software Testing Magazine (http://www.astmagazine.automatedtestinginstitute.com).
