Goodrich to Showcase Advanced Aerospace and Defense Systems at Avalon
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) at next week's Avalon 2011 International Airshow will showcase mission critical defense technology that brings real-time information to air crews and the warfighter. Avalon 2011 takes place at Geelong, Victoria, March 1-6, 2011.
Goodrich (Stand 3C16) will be demonstrating mission critical guidance, navigation and stabilization products; including updated TERPROM Terrain software, designed to increase flight safety and tactical awareness for both fixed wing and helicopter platforms, along with MEMS (micro electro-mechanical system) based inertial sensors.
Advanced ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) data collection and dissemination systems will be on display, including the Goodrich DB-110 dual-band EO-IR (electro-optical infrared) long-range sensor for fastjets and large UAVs. Goodrich will also be displaying the Embla VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) UAS (unmanned aerial system) in the indoor UAS flying arena at various times throughout the show The Embla is integrated with an autonomous, adaptive flight control system and stabilized micro gimbal developed by Goodrich.
