Goodrich to Feature Operationally Responsive Space Satellite Model at National Space Symposium
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 8, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) will display a scale model of its Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) satellite at the National Space Symposium, April 12-14, 2010 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Goodrich is under contract to design, develop and produce the first operational satellite for the ORS office, a U.S. Department of Defense initiative to support military needs with small satellites. The satellite system will provide color pictures of regions selected by ground force commanders. Goodrich will also provide part of the ground system that processes and distributes the images and other information out to the battlefield.
Goodrich space products and capabilities will be on display on stand 614 at the National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colo. from April 12-14, 2010. Experts will be available from company sites in Danbury, Conn., Albuquerque, N.M. and Ithaca, N.Y.
