Goodrich Business in Monroe, N.C. Supports Local Student Champions in Global Competition
- First place winners in Odyssey of the Mind world finals have Goodrich family ties
CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 15, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Goodrich Corporation's (NYSE: GR) Customer Services organization in Monroe, N.C. sponsored the first place winning team in the Odyssey of the Mind world finals held May 26-29, 2010 at Michigan State University. The business has a special connection to the winning team – employee Marc Graveline's children Chris and Madison Graveline, ages 11 and 8 respectively, are members of the world champion Rea View Elementary team.
The Rea View Elementary team qualified to represent the U.S. in the Odyssey of the Mind world finals by winning first place in state and regional competitions. The team beat 51 other teams in its category to take the world championship honors.
