Goodby, Silverstein & Partners Announces Departure
SAN FRANCISCO, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- After nearly 19 years with the company, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners (GS&P) Vice Chairman and Partner Harold Sogard has decided to leave to begin what he calls "the third act" of his career. Sogard spent 10 years managing Broadway and Off-Broadway plays before beginning his advertising career at Ogilvy & Mather New York in 1984. He joined GS&P in 1991 as an Account Director when the company had around 50 employees and $50 million in billings. As he leaves, GS&P now has over 550 employees and billings in the billions.
Sogard said of his departure, "I'm very thankful for the amazing ride I've had here. I've been part of a remarkable array of brilliant work, and I've had the pleasure of working with hundreds of wonderful people, both GS&P teammates and clients. I'll miss all that greatly, but after 19 years it's time for me to make a change, and I look forward to finding a new challenge. Meanwhile, I will always enjoy watching my alma mater of GS&P continue to lead the way in the world of advertising."
GS&P Co-Chairman Jeff Goodby said, "I will miss Harold's sense of humor and take-charge attitude. He's been here through some amazing times."
