SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, today announced a new 'Migrate Now' program, removing financial barriers for BlackBerry customers impeded by existing BlackBerry maintenance contracts, but wishing to move now to mobile platforms like iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. In a recent survey conducted by Good Technology to over 200 attendees of a recent webinar, "A CIO's Blueprint for BlackBerry Migration Planning ," over 13% of respondents reported they are already migrating or will be migrating off of BlackBerry within three months, andover 60% plan to migrate within the next three months to one year. The free "Mobilize Now" migration program provides a viable exit strategy for customers on current BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry Enterprise Service maintenance contracts, who may have exhausted current budgets and feel they must wait to embrace the new mobile platforms their users are demanding.
"What we're seeing across the industry right now is not just a migration, but a transformation, with our customers seizing the opportunity to rewrite their mobile strategies," said Christy Wyatt, CEO of Good Technology. "Good has been the pioneer and leader in this space for over fifteen years. Our long track record of innovation in secure mobility, along with the strength and stability of our business, allows us to offer BlackBerry shops a compelling exit strategy with the only complete solution and an aggressive offer to enable their move."
In addition to being recognized by Gartner as a Leader in the 2013 Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software[1], Good Technology was also recently recognized by The 451 Group as the leading MDM vendor, with the largest number of in-use, piloted, and planned implementations, based on a recent survey. The report explains that as device diversity continues and BlackBerry sales are on the decline, organizations are turning to Good to develop their mobile strategies and put a scalable, cross-platform security mobility solution in place.
"There's no question that organizations using EMM tools that support a limited number of devices are seeing growing resistance among users," said Chris Hazelton, Research Director, Mobile & Wireless of 451 Group. "Enterprises should look for solutions that allow them to analyze and adjust security models to ensure corporate data is protected in an increasingly mobile world. The use of cross-platform EMM solutions, such as Good's GFE and Collaboration Suite, will allow IT to support device diversity within organizations – which will provide a seamless way for employees to collaborate and share while using the mobile devices of their choice."
Good for Enterprise securely manages data and devices and accelerates day one employee productivity with secure email, calendaring, contacts, browser access, task management and document data, and is the only mobile messaging app with Common Criteria EAL4+ certifications on iOS and Android in addition to end-to-end FIPS 140-2 encryption. It delivers an integrated and intuitive mobile user experience to increase productivity, with unique features to streamline tasks for users on the go. Good Collaboration Suite extends GFE with secure instant messaging and SharePoint and file share access. The Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform enables the containerization and management of mobile apps and data, even on devices without mobile device management (MDM) control.
