SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, today announced the integration of the Good Dynamics® Secure Mobility Platform with the Salesforce Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK) to enable mobile application management and app containerization for joint customers. Leveraging this implementation, customers can containerize, deploy and manage custom apps built with the Salesforce Mobile SDK to mobile workforces, enabling users to maximize productivity using data from Salesforce, the world's #1 customer relationship management (CRM) platform. In addition, customers using Good for Enterprise® (GFE), the market-leading secure email and collaboration solution, can access Salesforce data through Good Mobile Access secure browser.

Good Technology has integrated its Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform SDK with the Salesforce Mobile SDK to ensure interoperability between the two platforms. As a result of the integration, salesforce.com customers can now quickly and easily apply Good's leading containerization model to their custom apps built using the Salesforce Mobile SDK, including app-level encryption, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, compliance and jailbreak detection, along with automated remediation actions including lock and wipe of specified applications without impacting a user's device or personal data.
For the millions of users leveraging Good for Enterprise secure email, integrated apps built with the Salesforce Mobile SDK can be configured to automatically send email through GFE rather than native email, maintaining IT control through multi-app workflows that sales teams depend on to speed business on the go.
"With cyber security and privacy being top of mind for every CIO, customers today are looking for a secure mobility platform that protects their business data without impacting the end-user experience; in other words, they want to secure the data, not just the device," said Christy Wyatt, president and chief executive officer of Good Technology. "Both line of business leaders and enterprise developers are looking for apps to be integrated into new mobile-first workflows. Now, developers charged with building custom apps for Salesforce can leverage the same secure framework trusted by the world's leading banks, federal agencies and regulated industries."
"Developers today are more interested in developing business-focused applications such as CRM or business intelligence apps, and leveraging enterprise app stores to publish those apps," said Ben Hoffman, research analyst, IDC. "Having a platform that will help them achieve all of these goals will be appealing to the developer community."
"Trying to stand in the path of mobility can be a risky or even damaging exercise by the enterprise. If employees are sourcing their own applications to do their job, then IT is not delivering the right tools for its employees to get their jobs done and proprietary data can be at risk," says Richard Absalom, research analyst at Ovum. "We believe businesses are better served by exploiting the BYO-X or bring your own anything behavior to not only increase employee engagement and productivity, but create better customer and partner interactions, which ultimately impact bottom line results."
Good Technology has recently deployed custom mobile apps built with Salesforce Platform Mobile Services integrated with Good Dynamics across its own sales and field organizations, and as a result, is increasing efficiency and ultimately enhancing customer relationships.
