Golf Academy Of America Announces Second Annual Clubs Fore Christmas Campaign

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Golf Academy of America (GAA) officials announced today that the two-year golf career college is seeking donations of unwanted sets of golf clubs, so they can be refurbished at GAA's state-of-the-art club fitting and repair facility and donated to the Lorena Ochoa Foundation and the First Tee during the holidays. The campuses will accept sets of clubs for the "Clubs Fore Christmas" campaign through Monday, December 17, 2012. In exchange, each person who donates a set of used, or unwanted golf clubs will receive a complimentary 30-minute golf lesson.

Those interested in participating in the Clubs Fore Christmas program can drop off clubs at GAA campuses in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Apopka (Orlando), Fla., Farmers Branch (Dallas), Texas, Chandler (Phoenix), Ariz., and Carlsbad (San Diego), Calif.

"If anyone has golf clubs they no longer need, or gathering dust in the garage, we encourage everyone to bring them by the Academy," said Mike Largent, president of Golf Academy of America. "Our goal is to collect as many sets of clubs as possible, fix them up and donate them to the Lorena Ochoa Golf Foundation and select First Tee chapters. The children whom these causes benefit will get great use out of them."
