Goldline IT Head Scott Burns Named A Finalist For Los Angeles Business Journal CIO Of The Year Award
LOS ANGELES, May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading precious metals retailer Goldline is proud to announce that the company's Vice President of IT, Scott Burns, has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a finalist for the Journal's prestigious CIO of the Year Award.
This distinguished award recognizes IT professionals whose work makes a positive impact on all aspects of their businesses including company growth, profitability, functionality and competitiveness in the marketplace. The recognition comes just a few months after Mr. Burns and his team successfully managed several significant IT projects that have played a critical role in Goldline's successful move to the City of Los Angeles.
"I couldn't be more delighted to join our local business community peers in recognizing Scott for his work over the past year," said Brian R. Crumbaker, CEO of Goldline. "During this time, our company has undergone several large-scale infrastructural changes, including moving more than 150 employees to a new corporate headquarters. Scott's role in the success of this transition has been critical and his exemplary leadership continues to be an invaluable asset to our company."
Mr. Burns has led Goldline's IT department for more than five years. Most notably, Scott has been responsible for moving from an analog phone system to a digital phone system, migrating all production systems to a data center and supporting Goldline's relocation efforts.
All CIO Awards finalists will be recognized on June 3 at an event in Los Angeles, where Mr. Burns and his colleagues will be in attendance. To accompany the event, the Los Angeles Business Journal will be publishing a special section highlighting each of the finalists, the winners, and the event itself within its June 8th edition.
