Gold Club San Francisco and 9 Premier Adult Clubs Team Up with San Francisco Fire Fighters Local 798 Toy Program's Annual Holiday Drive
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ten premier adult clubs including the Gold Club, Larry Flynt's Hustler Club, Penthouse Club and Restaurant, Condor Club, Hungry I Club, New Century Theater, Centerfolds, Roaring 20s Club, Little Darlings and Garden of Eden have partnered with the San Francisco Fire Fighters Local 798 in order to spread a bit of cheer for families in need. Enticing entertainers perform nightly charity dances and collect new, unwrapped toys from patrons during the holidays for the SFFF annual holiday drive.
Along with the annual fundraising efforts, this year's toy drive will be focused on collecting bicycles for boys and girls affected by the recent North Bay Fires. Since the inaugural fundraiser in the 1990s, these clubs have raised more than $300,000 and collected thousands of toys for more than 40,000 families each year, according to union officials.
"Our collective goal this year is to raise over $35,000 and collect hundreds of toys and bicycles," said Axel Sang, Marketing Director for the Gold Club San Francisco.
The toy drive at the participating clubs will kick off with a soiree on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Gold Club from 8-10pm located at 650 Howard St. The evening will include complimentary cocktails, appetizers and the beautiful Gold Club entertainers, who will be performing charity dances throughout the evening. Guests can either donate $20 to the fundraiser or bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $20 or more to attend, but must register online beforehand at GoldClubSF.com.
Starting the evening of the kickoff party, hundreds of entertainers from all ten adult entertainment venues will be performing during a charity dance, which will be announced by the DJ. The charity dance contributions go support the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program's annual holiday drive to provide much needed gifts to thousands of children across the region.
Along with the charitable performances, patrons who bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $20 or more will get free admission to all the clubs from November 16th through December 21st, with collection barrels located inside all 10 venues.
The toy drive wrap up will take place with an outrageously over-the-top check presentation celebration on Thursday December 21st from 8-10pm at the Penthouse Club & Restaurant 412 Broadway.
According to representatives, the Toy Program is not subsidized by any federal or state agencies. It is completely self- funded through donations from many businesses and operates through the willingness of dozens of volunteers who lend their time and hearts to the toy program, which runs year-round.
The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program also provides donations year-round to families in need when disaster strikes, union officials said, including toys, pajamas, personal hygiene products and other necessities.
"This is a cause close to our hearts, from the entertainers to the staff and our guests. The toy and bicycle drive supports our neighborhoods and families who are less fortunate and who can't celebrate the holidays the way they would like to, especially those in the North Bay during these tough times," Sang said. "It's about giving – it's about caring for others."
