Gogobot's "GoGo This Week" - the Personalized Weekly Summary of the Best Things To Do Nearby - Goes Live in 6 Cities
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gogobot (www.gogobot.com), the go-to place for places to go for millions of people, announced today the launch of "GoGo This Week" – a weekly feature showcasing insider advice for the top things to do near you – from activities to festivals to restaurant openings – based on your personal "tribes" or interests.
Gogobot's mission is to help people discover unique, authentic experiences in more than 60,000 destinations by highlighting places popular with people who share your tastes and interests – your tribes. "GoGo This Week" not only highlights where to go but also what to do - covering local activities and other happenings that even a user familiar with their surroundings might miss – from outdoor movie screenings to beer festivals to a guided nature walk.
The feature launches today on both Android and iOS devices in 6 cities – San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, London, San Diego and Silicon Valley – with plans to roll out to additional cities in the months to come. Each week, when Gogobot members open their app, they will see 10-15 fresh, personalized recommendations of great events in their local area based on their distinct tribes. Users will be able to tap through to learn more about the events and "Why to GoGo", bookmark the events for later, and share the events with their friends. Events will be curated by Gogobot's City Editors, with relevant recommendations shared out to members of Gogobot's 19 "Tribes," or interest based communities (e.g. Foodies, Nightlife Lovers, Outdoor Enthusiasts, etc).
