"Airfare is one of the biggest expenses vacationers face when planning a trip – often dissuading potential travelers from going out-of-town," said Jennifer Calonia, senior editor of GOBankingRates. GOBankingRates also investigated local attractions in each of the destinations to determine how to cut costs -- and which are worth the money.
