Ent, Colorado's largest credit union and the largest local financial institution in the Pikes Peak region, promises to close its borrowers' mortgages on time – or they'll be credited $500 at closing. GOBankingRates seeks to spotlight stand-out loan and interest rate specials that local financial institutions provide for their members.

Ent's goal of the guarantee is to allow both first-time buyers and those buying their next home to focus on moving – not on their loan closing schedules.
"We realize that, for most people, buying a home isn't something they do very often," said Jon Paukovich, Ent's vice president of Mortgage Lending. "Even for members who have purchased a home in the past, the process may feel somewhat unfamiliar due to the changes caused by recent mortgage regulations. We want to help borrowers and realtors feel more confident during their home buying experience by taking some uncertainty out of the process."
Key terms and conditions:
- This guarantee is based on the mortgage loan closing date provided in the original sales contract.
- The offer is only available on purchase mortgage loans with closing dates a minimum of 30 days after the original contract is signed.
- The credit will be paid on the HUD 1 settlement form upon closing.
"Any concerns about closing a mortgage should be reserved for the experts," said Casey Bond, managing editor for GOBankingRates. "By offering its members a solid timeline they can depend on – and backing up that offer with cash – Ent makes the home-buying process as simple and painless as possible."
