GO Buses Expands Providence, R.I. To New York Service With Additional Stop At Brown University
Affordable Bus Service Offers New Convenience to Brown Students and Surrounding Community
HOBOKEN, N.J., March 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- GO Buses, known for its affordable, safe, reliable and professional bus service between New York City and Boston, today announced that it has added a convenient second stop in Providence, R.I., as part of the regular route between downtown Providence and Midtown Manhattan. This second stop, located on the campus of Brown University, provides an added convenience for Brown students and the surrounding community and will be served by the four existing daily round trips that were launched last November. Departures and arrivals from this second stop begin March 17.
GO Buses' Brown University stop in Providence will depart and arrive curbside at Lloyd Avenue next to Meeham Auditorium. The new location adds an additional option to the existing curbside stop on Canal Street (at the corner of Smith Street) in the heart of the city's downtown area. Manhattan arrival and departures remain curbside at 30th Street and 9th Avenue in Midtown, just steps from New York Penn Station. Fares start as low as $18 each way, with special discounts for Brown students.
GO Buses has one of the most modern fleets in the industry. Passengers enjoy free Wi-Fi internet access and amenities such as outlets for electronics, an on-board restroom, ample luggage space (with a luggage allowance of 50 pounds per passenger), reclining seats with footrests, and bottled water.
"GO Buses is pleased to offer our customers a second Providence stop, especially the students of Brown University who can depart and return directly to an on-campus location. This additional stop is part of our commitment to provide convenient, affordable bus service to popular destinations in the Northeast," says Academy President Francis Tedesco. "GO Buses continues to provide the safest, most modern travel experience, at a remarkable value."
Last November's service expansion into Providence added the second destination for GO Buses, which currently operates service between New York and the Boston metropolitan area. That service currently provides eight round-trip departures daily.
Since 2014, GO Buses has been owned and operated by Academy Bus, the largest privately owned and operated motor coach company in the United States and a recognized leader in the ground transportation industry.
