GM Agrees To Settle 50 New Death Cases Related To Ignition Switch - Total Reaches 174
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bob Hilliard, appointed by the Federal Judge in the GM MDL litigation to be the lead attorney for all personal injury and death cases caused by GM's defective ignition switch, reports that GM has settled 50 new death cases.
As part of the settlement reached late last night between Bob Hilliard's 1379 clients and GM, there are included 50 death cases. As of August 21, 2015 GM has settled 124 death cases through the GM Ignition Switch Compensation Fund, administered by Ken Feinberg.
Yesterday's settlement with Hilliard's clients brings the total number of official death cases acknowledged by GM to 174.
