Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc. announces the addition of Jeff Burchell as Managing Director & Portfolio Manager

TORONTO, June 30, 2015 /CNW/ - Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc. ("Gluskin Sheff" or the "Company") is excited to announce that Jeff Burchell will join the Company as Managing Director & Portfolio Manager, effective August 2015.

Mr. Burchell will be lead portfolio manager for the GS+A Focused Long/Short Portfolio, one of the Company's two core equity alternative strategies.

Mr. Burchell has spent over 10 years exclusively in long/short equity investing. He joins Gluskin Sheff from Aston Hill Financial Inc., where he was Co-Chief Investment Officer and portfolio manager for several North American long/short equity funds. Prior to that, he was a senior portfolio manager for one of the first market neutral North American long/short equity funds in Canada at Polar Securities. Mr. Burchell received both MBA and law degrees from Dalhousie University and has also earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
