Glu Mobile Launches the Glu 500gs 3D Social Mobile Development Contest
Glu offers top independent game developers $500k in total prizes
SAN FRANCISCO, May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Glu Mobile Inc. (Nasdaq: GLUU), a leading global publisher of 3D Social Mobile games for smartphone and tablet devices, today announced a global 3D Social Mobile development contest in cooperation with Unity Technologies and Sony Ericsson.
The Glu 500gs 3D Social Mobile Development Contest is an open opportunity for independent game developers to create an original 3D Social Mobile video game built on the Unity platform and playable on iOS, Android or the Sony Ericsson Xperia™PLAY.
- The contest offers $500k in total prizes for winning submissions, including a publishing contract for the grand prize winner worth up to $225,500.
- The contest entry period is open through July 24, 2011 at 11:59 pm PT.
- The global contest will feature a total of nine winners in three regions (Asia, Europe, Americas) as well as a Grand Prize winner chosen from one of the three regional first prize winners.
- The Grand Prize winner will be announced at Unite 11, Unity Technologies' 5th Annual Developer Conference on September 28-30, 2011 in San Francisco, California.
