MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Globe University congratulates Mona Gajjar and Paul Bolen, the first graduates of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree program. Globe University's Minneapolis campus began offering the DBA degree in the fall of 2012. Since its inception, there have been 13 students to enroll in the doctoral program.
"These are very exciting times," says Dr. Andrea Olson, graduate program administrator for Globe University. "This program has taken five years to launch, and we are one of only a few universities to offer a residential DBA."
Gajjar is employed by a logistics company located in Grand Rapids, Mich. The company services the logistics for several top corporations including Walmart and Yahoo, and has provided tuition assistance for her to attend courses in Minnesota. Bolen is an entrepreneur who serves clients in the music, audio and video production industry. Both graduates completed their applied research with a focus on their current employment.
Gajjar and Bolen will walk during a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at 6 p.m. at the IDS Tower 50th Floor in Minneapolis. The keynote speaker is Dr. David Metzen, provost for Globe University, and Bolen is the graduate speaker.
"We are so proud of Mona and Paul for earning their DBA degrees," says James Decker, campus director for Globe University-Minneapolis. "They are just the first of what we hope to be many successful graduates to come from this program."
