The three-day event will be held Sept. 8 - 10, 2013 at the Imigrantes Exhibition Center, Sao Paulo. The co-located shows will cover electronics, gifts and premiums, garments and textiles, and hardware and building materials. In Brazil, the China Sourcing Fairs are managed by Milton Exhibits under license from Global Sources.
"In a world where near-flat growth has been the norm in recent years, Brazil's growing economy provides immense trade opportunities for Greater China suppliers," said Tommy Wong, President of Global Sources Exhibitions. "With Brazil set to host the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016, its stature and importance as a market for manufactured goods will continue to increase."
Well received by the provincial and municipal governments of mainland China and other organizations, the Fairs will feature pavilions from Zhejiang, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Zhongshan, Shantou, Chaozhou, Wujiang, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and Hong Kong Exporters' Association.
Trade between China and Brazil expanded from US$6.68 billion in 2003 to US$75.46 billion in 2012 and Brazil's GDP is expected to grow by 3 percent in 2013. "The China Sourcing Fairs in Brazil will certainly become an indispensable event for the buyers there to meet and trade directly with quality Greater China suppliers," added Wong.
The China Sourcing Fairs in Brazil are exclusively for importers, traders, and other volume buyers who purchase consumer products for resale to markets in South America. The inaugural event in 2012 attracted more than 5,400 professional buyers from Brazil and surrounding countries.
