Global Media and Marketing Agency DWA Makes Big Gains In Americas in FY14
DWA Lures Talent from Gyro and Rocket Fuel, Adds New Clients
SAN FRANCISCO, June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DWA, the leading global marketing agency specializing in the technology sector, today announced securing a spate of new client wins, new talent, and strong financial performance in North America heading into its new fiscal year.
In the fiscal year ending June 2014, DWA won 25+ notable new client accounts, including Box Inc., LifeLock Inc., and SolarWinds Inc. The company also achieved nearly 2x growth in year-over-year net revenue, as the company continues to experience increased traction in competitive pitches in North America, winning accounts against both large and small competitors.
"DWA has a long history in performance marketing. We run more lead campaigns for the technology sector than any other agency in the world, generating millions of leads annually," said Robert Ray, President, Americas at DWA. "We're excited and proud that clients today are using our complete capabilities as an end-to-end agency - coming to us for a full range of marketing services to reach customers and grow their business."
DWA also attracted a series of new talent, bolstering leadership and strengthening core services.
Sabrina Galati, a former media director at creative agency Gyro and digital agency Moxie became SVP North America, Planning Director; AJ Resnick, previously a business strategist at Rocket Fuel and director of analytics at Starcom MediaVest, joined as Director of Intent Marketing; while Ben Barenholtz, a former strategist at management consultancy Embarcadero Partners and PR and marketing agency SparkPR, joined as Director of Marketing and Communications.
Ms. Galati is charged with expanding DWA's creation of innovative, world-class media and marketing programs for clients. She's an experienced talent with a proven record in managing and growing large teams and global accounts, as well as billions in media. In particular, Ms. Galati brings her rich expertise in brand planning to DWA and will be responsible for growing the business with consumer-facing technology companies.
"Technology is changing the world, allowing small ideas to grow to solve big problems. This motivates me," said Sabrina Galati, SVP North America, Planning Director, DWA. "DWA is committed to being a true technology-first agency. They're inspired by the companies they work with - it clearly influences their view of the world. I'm very excited to be a part of that."
Mr. Resnick will be responsible for developing and growing DWA's intent marketing practice, combining his technical experience in search, social and analytics. With a wide mandate for 'intent' marketing, his practice cuts across services from search to performance to mobile, and focuses on the intersection of contextual data, behavior, and personalization in order to create better performance for all programs.
"Brands that can understand the intricacies of ad tech solutions to build the right marketing technology infrastructure will win, but it remains up to people to calibrate data against their intuition and creativity," said AJ Resnick, Director of Intent Marketing. "There will always be a human element. Machines can optimize marketing and media spend, but people have to make decisions based on their experience to feed in the right information, pull the appropriate insights, and then take the right actions."
