Global DefenseTec Partners Appoints David Butler to Head U.S. Practice

LONDON, Sept. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Global DefenseTec Partners (GDTP), the specialist investment arm of Global Strategies Group investing in the defense and technology industries worldwide, today announced that David T. Butler has joined the firm as President of its U.S. practice.

Mr Butler comes to GDTP from leading defense contractor L-3 Communications, where he was Senior Vice President, Business Operations.  Whilst with L-3, he led M&A activities in over 100 acquisitions and selected divestitures, and established an outstanding track record for value creation. 

In his new position, Mr Butler will be responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities in the defense and technology sectors throughout the United States, and working with prospective investors on portfolio development.
