Global Crossing Appoints Bill O'Neill as Vice President of Federal Sales
FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Jan. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Bill O'Neill to the position of vice president, Federal Sales, in the company's Federal Sector business unit. O'Neill, who is based in Reston, Va., is the former vice president of Qwest Government Services. He will begin his new assignment immediately.
"Bill has a long and successful track record of managing major accounts in the defense and intelligence communities and civilian and security business areas, as well as leading teams that provide end-to-end telecommunications solutions," said John Sutton, general manager of Global Crossing's Federal Sector business. O'Neill joined Qwest in 2008 from Nortel Networks, where he was vice president and general manager of Product and Managed Services for Nortel Government Solutions in Fairfax, Va. Prior to joining Nortel in 1999, he was general manager of Operations for Raytheon Technical Services in Norfolk, Va. He serves on the TechAmerica Public Sector board and the AFCEA DC board as an executive member.
