Global Aviation And Transportation Expert Joins Heidrick & Struggles

CHICAGO, Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Heidrick & Struggles (Nasdaq:HSII), a premier provider of Executive Search, Leadership Consulting and Culture Shaping services worldwide, enhanced its  expertise in the aviation and transportation sector with the addition of  John Davidson as a partner in the firm's Global Industrial Practice. Davidson will be based in Chicago.

During his 16-year executive search career, Davidson has specialized in senior-level search assignments across the airline, general and business aviation, aircraft leasing and cargo sectors. He brings well-established relationships with leading global organizations, including a number of the major U.S. carriers and online travel tech businesses (OTAs). Davidson also has worked with several renowned private equity firms assisting them in the recruitment of key leaders to their portfolio companies. He brings considerable experience serving general industrial and automotive industry clients. 

Prior to joining our firm, Davidson served as Managing Director at a boutique search firm where he led the Transportation Practice.  Earlier, he was a consultant at Stanton Chase International.  He began his executive search career in 1998 as a consultant with LAI Worldwide and went on to found Lake Forest Executive Search, a well-regarded, boutique retained search firm located in Chicago's northern suburbs. 

Davidson received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Rollins College and also serves on the board of Reading Power, a nonprofit focused on school tutoring for low income children in Chicago's northern suburbs.
