Glidewell Dental Releases Expanded Chairside® Magazine
Newest Issue of Chairside Magazine, Featuring Implant, Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry, Is Now Available in Print and Online
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Glidewell Dental, industry-leading provider of dental products, technologies and laboratory services, announced today that the latest issue of Chairside® magazine — featuring newly expanded coverage of implant, restorative and esthetic dentistry — is now available in print and online. The digital edition of Volume 12, Issue 1, as well as past issues of the magazine, can be viewed from all popular desktop, tablet and smartphone platforms by visiting chairsidemagazine.com.
The inaugural issue of the revised-format Chairside magazine includes content covering an expanded breadth of knowledge integral to modern dentistry. While Glidewell Dental originally partitioned implant-specific knowledge into a separate publication, Inclusive™ magazine, implant therapy today is recognized as a part of everyday dentistry. For this reason, Chairside magazine now encompasses even more topics, including implant dentistry, to address the challenges faced by practicing clinicians.
This issue's one-on-one interview features Dr. Rella Christensen, cofounder of the nonprofit Clinicians Report Foundation and team leader of Technologies in Restoratives and Caries (TRAC) Research, which conducts controlled clinical studies for the benefit of working dentists. Dr. Christensen discusses TRAC Research's present and future projects, the performance of modern monolithic restorative dental materials, and exciting developments in the treatment of dental caries.
Also featured in the issue is a case report by Dr. Timothy Kosinski presenting the treatment of a talented Detroit-area musician with fixed, implant-supported zirconia bridges. Offering his clinical knowledge, skills and pro bono services, Dr. Kosinski provides a remarkable smile transition that not only gives the patient a renewed quality of life, but also catches the attention of a local news station.
Additionally, the issue includes several articles from prominent dental industry experts, including an article by Dr. Randolph Resnik that examines occlusal schemes for full-arch restorations with respect to functional and excursive positions of the mandible; an in vitro study by Dr. Shreya Shah that discusses the most effective bonding protocol for zirconia veneers; and a guide by Carrie Webber, of international management and marketing firm Jameson Management, for assessing the customer service experience in the dental practice. Plus, the new recurring "Education Corner" column highlights the involvement of Glidewell Dental scientists and dentists in symposiums and exhibitions around the United States.
Glidewell Dental launched "Chairside Live" in May 2012 as a multimedia supplement to Chairside magazine. The weekly web video series gives dentists an insider's look at some of the unique and interesting cases processed at the lab, while keeping them informed of the manifold advancements developed by Glidewell Dental. Current and past episodes of "Chairside Live" can be viewed at chairsidelive.com.
Chairside magazine is published by Glidewell Dental and President and CEO Jim Glidewell, CDT. With each issue, Chairside strives to share knowledge that makes dentistry easier, faster and more efficient for both patients and doctors. Featuring clinical tips and techniques, case studies, practice management advice and one-on-one interviews with prominent dental experts, Chairside guides practitioners through the challenging and rewarding tasks the dental profession has to offer.
