Glenn R. George, Public Policy Analyst and Economist, Joins Bates White
WASHINGTON, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Glenn R. George, PhD, has joined Bates White as a Partner in the Energy and Finance Practices. Dr. George has a quarter-century of experience in the global energy sector as an engineer, policy-maker, investment banker, and economic consultant. His areas of specialization include market design, market entry, asset securitization, financial risk assessment, energy efficiency, renewables, and especially nuclear power. His consulting work focuses on transactions, contract disputes, and regulatory issues.

Before joining Bates White, Dr. George was a vice president in the energy practice at NERA Economic Consulting and co-head of the global energy group at Nomura Securities. He also held senior consulting positions at PA Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers and served at the Office of Naval Reactors.

Dr. George holds a PhD from Harvard, with a focus on energy policy and regulation, as well as an engineering degree and an MBA from Cornell. In addition, he received a diploma in nuclear engineering from the U.S. Department of Energy's Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory and is a registered professional engineer in the District of Columbia.
