With challenging competition, this consistent display of top class awards reflects the uncompromising commitment to the art of whisky creation at Glenmorangie. It also cements the Company's reputation for creating an 'Unnecessarily Well Made' portfolio of single malt Scotch whiskies - from using the tallest stills in Scotland and the finest oak casks to pioneering the now widely used art of extra maturation to provide additional rich and intriguing flavors to the house style of Glenmorangie.
This year, after blind tasting and professional analysis, the independent judges awarded five of their ultimate prizes - the highly regarded 'Gold Best in Class' - to Glenmorangie Original, Nectar D'Or (12 Years Old, 2 Years in Sauternes casks), Extremely Rare 18 Years Old, Quarter Century (25 Years Old) and Signet.
Brian Cox, Vice President of Glenmorangie US, said: “We are extremely honored to win these distinguished awards from such a prestigious and respected awards body. 10 Years Old, 12 Years Old, 18 Years Old, 25 Years Old and above, we are best in class whatever the age. So beyond just questions of age - which do matter- what really counts is the quality of the distillery and of the people who go the extra length to create the excellence of our Glenmorangie Whisky. They continually strive to create the best single malt Scotch whiskies that deliver the rounder, smoother taste that sets Glenmorangie apart.”
Doctor Bill Lumsden, Head of Distilling and Whisky Creation at The Glenmorangie Company, said: "Winning these awards is an honor, a fantastic acknowledgement of all the work that goes into crafting each Glenmorangie expression. I am thrilled that such a respected awards body as the IWSC have recognized this and have consistently bestowed us their highest awards."
