Giveback Homes partners with Waves For Water to empower the real estate industry to give clean water to people in need

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Giveback Homes, real estate's social good movement, announces today, World Water Day, a new partnership with Waves For Water, a non-profit that works on providing clean water solutions to communities in need. The collaboration has an initial goal to sponsor 100 filtration systems, providing access to clean water for 10,000 people.

Giveback Homes and Waves For Water share a common mission, improving the lives of people around the world. Giveback Homes founder Blake Andrews and Waves for Water founder Jon Rose both felt the call to do more after traveling around the world and seeing the potential to galvanize themselves and others into action.

"When I first heard about Jon Rose's work with Waves For Water, I was so impressed by all he is doing," said Blake Andrews. "Many people travel and see the need but don't take action. He turned his visibility as a professional surfer into an opportunity to create real change. I've seen first hand how access to water helps a developing community thrive."

In honor of World Water Day, Giveback Homes and Waves For Water created their shared initiative to raise $5,000 for 100 filtration systems to be delivered this summer during an El Salvador filter distribution project sponsored by Giveback Homes members.
