Gillingham Charter School to Rally for School Choice

POTTSVILLE, Pa., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Community members are invited to join Gillingham Charter School's all-school rally at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23. The rally, which will take place in the school's gymnasium, will feature remarks from students, staff, and parents on why they believe in school choice. Gillingham Charter School's cheer team will also lead a performance of the official National School Choice Week dance.

This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.

"Gillingham will be celebrating school choice to increase and continue the conversation on strong education for children," said Cassie Shive, director of culture at Gillingham Charter School. "This rally is always a wonderful opportunity to hear from our students, staff, and families about the importance of school choice."

Gillingham Charter School is a K-12 charter school that offers a relational education founded on the educational beliefs and practices of Charlotte Mason.

As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country.
