Gigamon Hires Dennis Reilly as Vice President of Federal Sales
Technology Veteran Brings Extensive Federal Experience to Gigamon
SILICON VALLEY, Calif., June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Gigamon®, a world leader in Traffic Visibility solutions, today announced that industry veteran Dennis Reilly has joined the company as Vice President of Federal Sales. Reilly is tasked with the creation and execution of a sales strategy for the federal market to extend and expand the presence of the Gigamon Visibility Fabric across all government agencies.
"Gigamon remains committed to helping government agencies deploy the most secure and manageable infrastructure possible. Past approaches of proliferating management and monitoring systems is not only operationally and fiscally inefficient, it also does not address the demands of network architects and operators designing networks for the future," said Gigamon CEO, Ted Ho. "We are pleased to have Dennis join the Gigamon family and bring with him the experience and knowledge of engaging with federal agencies and policymakers."
Reilly brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in the federal technology industry. Prior to joining Gigamon, Reilly served as senior vice president of sales for Hydropoint Data Systems, Inc., where he was responsible for numerous federal agency sales accounts, including Veterans Affairs, US Army, US Navy, GSA, Department of Energy, EPA, numerous state and local governments, higher education and K-12 accounts. Prior to that, he held numerous senior sales roles, serving both public and private sector customers, for multiple technology companies including Oracle, BEA Systems, PeopleSoft, Backweb Technologies, Netscape, Universal Systems, Inc. (Integic) and Walker Interactive Systems. Reilly began his career as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy. He received his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and earned his graduate degree from Boston University.
"It's an exciting time to join Gigamon. The company has an impressive history of providing IT network and security teams at the federal, state, and local levels with solutions that enable complete visibility to help protect critical data," Reilly said. "Gigamon's dedication to excellence is demonstrated by its willingness to voluntarily place its GigaVUE® 2404 through rigorous evaluation to achieve validation by the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS) at EAL2+. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and insights with the Gigamon team and helping them to continue to support the federal market."
