Gigamon Announces General Availability of the GigaVUE-HC3 Visibility Node and Inline SSL Decryption Solutions

(NYSE: GIMO), the industry leader in traffic visibility solutions, announced today the general availability of two new solutions in its expanding security portfolio: the GigaVUE-HC3 visibility node and Inline SSL decryption application. With these solutions, organizations can now address challenges introduced by the increased volumes of data that are surpassing the capacity and performance of many legacy security and monitoring tools.

GigaVUE-HC3 is a high-performance, flagship appliance enabling pervasive visibility and security intelligence at scale in 10Gb, 40Gb and 100Gb networks. GigaVUE-HC3 provides a total of 800Gbps of GigaSMART^® traffic intelligence per node, scaling to 25Tbps in clustered configurations and up to 3.2Tbps of processing per node that scales to over 100Tbps per cluster. The solution enables IT and security organizations to:

• Achieve improved network and tool performance
• Gain deeper insight into, and awareness of, the data-in-motion regardless of the throughput

The new inline SSL Decryption application is a key component of GigaSMART traffic intelligence application suite that significantly expands the applicability of SSL decryption beyond the previously supported out-of-band SSL decryption. It automatically identifies all SSL/TLS traffic across ports and applications, decrypting the traffic once and feeding it to multiple tools for scale and resilience. The solution  helps remove network blind spots to expose malicious threats and feeds decrypted traffic-of-interest to the appropriate security tools for immediate analysis and mitigation.
