All-You-Can-Eat-&-Drink Festival Brings Together the Best of Craft & Cask Ales & NYC's Best Bites
NEW YORK, Jan. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Get Real NY announced today that it is bringing back its Craft Beer & Food Festival to the Altman Building in NYC's Flatiron District on Saturday, March 19, 2011 and Sunday, March 20, 2011 for two more days of free-flowing suds and nonstop local eats. The all-you-care-to-taste extravaganza is being held across four sessions: The Saturday "March Madness" Sessions on the 19th from 12-3 P.M. and 5-8 P.M. and the "Sunday Funday" Sessions on the 20th from 12-3 P.M. and 5-8 P.M. There will also be a VIP session each day from 4-8 P.M. featuring several extremely rare and limited quantity beers, special foods and tasting panels.
Each $65 general admission ticket comes with a souvenir glass and offers guests unlimited tasting of some of the best and rarest craft beers around, with an emphasis again this year on cask-conditioned ales. General admission tickets also include unlimited food sampling, admission to brewery discussion panels and live music entertainment.
For those looking to maximize their craft beer and food indulgence, $80 VIP tickets will be available and will include everything above in addition to one-hour early access to the festival, admission to a special VIP tasting room featuring several uber-rare and hard-to-find beers and access to brewery tasting panels and discussions
"We're very excited to be bringing Get Real NY back to NYC. I think all those in attendance would agree that last year's inaugural events in September were a blast and a great addition to NY Craft Beer Week. This year we've added more of everything that guests enjoyed last year….plus a few surprises like beer cocktails, a special VIP Tasting Lounge and more," says Patrick Donagher, Get Real Founder and Co-Owner of NYC's Rattle N Hum.
Attendees should expect this year's event to be bigger and better, with even more food and craft beer options. Get Real NY has partnered with local website Wined & Dined to expand the festival's food offerings to include beer-friendly bites from the city's best restaurants and food trucks.
"Imagine walking into your favorite beer bar, being handed a glass and getting unlimited and unfettered access to all the taps for 3 full hours. That's Get Real NY, only we have 80+ beers to choose from and unlimited food samplings from 20+ NYC restaurants and food trucks. It really doesn't get any better than this," says Andy Freedman of Wined & Dined.
Tickets are extremely limited and both sessions will SELL OUT. General Admission tickets are $65 and must be purchased in advance. VIP tickets are $80 and also must be purchased in advance. Beginning Friday, January 28, 2011, General Admission tickets will be offered for $55 for a limited time and only through BeerMenus.com. After this initial offer period expires, there will be no further price reductions through online coupon sites and all General Admission tickets will be $65 until sold out.
Designated Driver admission is also available for $25 and includes admission to the event only. This is a 21+ only event.
