George Washington University Launches New Online M.S. in Electrical Engineering

WASHINGTON, Aug. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The School of Engineering and Applied Science Online and Off-Campus Programs Office at the George Washington University has launched a new online master's program in electrical engineering. With the goal to offer the broad education required to drive engineering solutions on a global scale, the program guides students in gaining the technical and critical thinking skills they need to compete with the best engineers in the industry.

Students enroll in one of three electrical engineering specializations:

• Electrical Power and Energy
• Signal and Image Processing, Systems and Controls
• Communication and Networks

"Our online electrical engineering master's program achieves a unique balance of essential and specialized learning. Students gain the comprehensive background that electrical engineers need to function in multidisciplinary teams and lead complex engineering projects. At the same time, our specialization options enable students to develop the skill to excel in their individual areas of interest," said Dr. Shahram Sarkani, Professor of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering, and Director of the School's Online and Off-Campus Programs Office.
