Founded by an esteemed group of engineers, Live Oak Consultants (LOC) is a full service civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering firm serving primarily Industrial clients in the greater Charleston area with quality engineering services in an array of design, consulting and project management solutions.

With nearly three decades of experience in the Manufacturing and Construction sectors, George is a seasoned engineering professional focused on structural design and analysis, new business development, and project management. In his position with LOC, he currently has lead structural engineering responsibilities for a new approx. (200,000) SF paint hangar facility.

George is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in both North and South Carolina.  Among his career accomplishments include the co-authoring of an article in Mechanical Engineering Magazine titled "Verifying Ventilation Flows" and the granting of a U.S. Patent (#5,517,862): "Apparatus and Method for Measuring Ventilation Flow Exiting a Spinning Rotor".  He was also the recipient of the George Westinghouse Corporate Innovation Award in 1996.

A member of SEI, AISC, and ASME, George received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
