Genstar Capital Appoints Two Vice Presidents

Anthony J. Salewski and Robert S. Rutledge Promoted To Senior Management Team

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Genstar Capital, LLC, a middle market private equity firm that focuses on investments in selected segments of the life science, healthcare services, software and software services, financial services, and industrial technology industries, today announced the promotions of two members of its investment team with the appointments of Anthony J. Salewski and Robert S. Rutledge as Vice Presidents. Both had previously been Senior Associates of the firm.

Prior to joining Genstar in 2007, Tony served as the Chief of Staff for Operations at Barclays Global Investors (BGI), the world's largest institutional investment manager, where he reported to the Chief Operating Officer and executed strategic initiatives for the Executive Committee. Prior to BGI, Tony was an Associate at private equity firm Hellman & Friedman LLC. Tony began his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in New York. He received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and graduated with honors from Harvard College. He serves as a Director of Genstar portfolio companies MidCap Financial, LLC, TravelCLICK, Inc. and International Aluminum Corporation.

Prior to re-joining Genstar as a Senior Associate in 2007, Rob spent two years as an Associate at Genstar from 2003 to 2005 and also served as an Associate in the investment banking division of Salomon Smith Barney in San Francisco where he advised on mergers and acquisitions and executed capital market offerings. Rob began his career in the investment banking division of Salomon Smith Barney in New York. Rob earned an MBA from Stanford University and received a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University. He is a Director of Genstar portfolio companies Woods Equipment Corporation, Confie Seguros Inc., and Voice Construction Ltd. and a board observer at Univita Health Inc.
