GENIVI Alliance to Show First Live Demonstration of Its Multi-Architecture Middleware Platform at International CES 2011
SAN RAMON, Calif., Dec. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by the GENIVI Alliance:
WHO & WHAT: The GENIVI Alliance, an automotive industry association driving the development and adoption of an open in-vehicle Infotainment (IVI) reference platform, will show the first live demonstration of its multi-architecture middleware platform at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. In line with GENIVI's strategy to accommodate all automotive customers and provide more choice in design, the platform, described as the Apollo baseline, supports two hardware implementations. One implementation is running on the Intel® In-Vehicle Infotainment Reference Design with Intel® Atom™ Processor E6xx and the other on Texas Instruments' ARM Cortex-A8 powered BeagleBoard with an automotive carrier card.
Representatives from the GENIVI Alliance will be providing demonstrations of the platform inside Visteon Corporation's exhibit located in the Central Plaza, CP20, in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
