GENEVA, Ill., Oct. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Geneva Commons is mixing things up this year. Instead of the usual Halloween trick or treating, the open-air shopping center is treating the community to a Fall Fest event on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place under a big tent in the parking area near California Pizza Kitchen. It will feature activities, games, prizes, music and treats for both children and adults, including:
- Hay Bale Maze
- Hay rides
- Pumpkin decorating
- Corn hole contests (kid and adult categories)
- Face painting and balloon artist
- Live scarecrow, pumpkin and stiltwalker
- DJ music
There will also be raffle prize drawings, giveaways, donuts and cider, and a fall farm backdrop for photo opportunities.
"We wanted to do something different than the usual trick or treat," says Geneva Commons Property Manager Cathy Charhut. "We want to create more experiences at the Commons, to provide a place for the community to bring the kids, relax and have fun. We're really excited about the Fall Fest and have designed it to appeal to all ages."
