General Motors President Dan Ammann Kicks Off 2015-2016 United Way Community Giving Campaign
DETROIT, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dan Ammann, United Way for Southeastern Michigan's Campaign Chair and President of General Motors, will lead the ceremony to "Electrify the Torch" for United Way in Hart Plaza to kick-off the fall 2015 Community Giving campaign. For the first time this year, the torch will not be lighted with gas, but with energy efficient LED lights. This campaign is dedicated to reaching the United Way goal of making Greater Detroit one of the top five places in the nation in which to live and work. The United Way torch is a symbol of hope and dedication, as well as a tribute to the generous spirit of the citizens of greater Detroit.
