WASHINGTON, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- General James L. Jones, the former United States National Security Adviser for the Obama Administration, will address the National Press Club at a luncheon on Monday, May 16.

Jones, a retired four-star general, will speak on the impact of Osama bin Laden's death on Al-Qaeda, as well as on the United States' relationship with Pakistan. He also will discuss the strategic goals of the United States in the changing Middle East, especially in Libya, Iran, Egypt, Syria, Israel, Palestine and Northern Africa.
Jones served as the 32nd Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps and Supreme Allied Commander in Europe before joining the Obama Administration as National Security Adviser. He resigned that post in November, 2010.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. with the speech beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 for Club members, $29 for guests of members and $36 for general admission.
